Happy New Year / Feliz Año Nuevo

Albeit late, I finally post my New Year's greetings to all of you. Fair is to say that, at least in Spain, technically our Christmas holidays end tomorrow since it is on the 6th of January when we kids -and not so kids- get out presents from the three magic kings, our own version of Santa. Apart from wishing all of you a very happy new year I'm taking this fresh start to 2010 as an opportunity to refresh a bit the blog and the thoughts I put into it. Up until now it's been rather impersonal and I've been keen on keeping it that way because I really needed somewhere where I could leave aside my daily thoughts and escape onto something else. Whilst I will certainly keep posting on those, mainly travel, architecture and design, I will also be including more personal reflection and opinion into it. As you might have noticed, there have been times, eg. when Obama got elected as the first Afro-American President of the U.S., where the relevance of circumstances called for a more personal approach. There will certainly be more reflections to come, since I feel I need to start writing again on a more personal note. I hope you keep enjoying my posts as much as I enjoy writing them. Feedback is always welcome :)

Si bien tarde aquí está mi post deseandoos unas felices fiestas y un muy feliz año nuevo. Puesto que hoy es día de Reyes técnicamente aún estamos en Navidades :) Aparte de mis deseos, aprovecho la entrada en el 2010 para darle pequeños cambios al blog en lo que ha contenido se refiere. Hasta ahora he estado escribiendo sobre cosas bastante banales e impersonales, principalmente porque necesitaba un espacio en el cual poder escribir y dejar de lado los pensamientos que nos comen la cabeza todos los días. Una vía de escape. Y aún así en ciertos momentos de tinte histórico, como con la elección de Obama como primer presidente negro de la historia de los Estados Unidos, no me he podido resistir a dar mi opinión. A partir de ahora habrá más opinión personal y reflexiones puesto que siento la necesidad de volver a escribir de manera más personal, si bien continuaré escribiendo sobre los temas que hasta ahora dominaban el blog: viajes, arquitectura y diseño. Espero que sigáis disfrutando de mis entradas tanto como yo disfruto escribiéndolas. Y como siempre, se aceptan todo tipo de sugerencias :)
